Setting up a station that does not slow you down
A considered location appointment begins with the room, the clean zone and the client position.
Before arrival, check access, lighting, power and available space. A hotel suite or private home may have different surfaces and circulation routes from your studio. Allow for open trays, doors and a client’s feet, not only the closed case footprint.
Separate clean tools, used tools and replenishment stock. Organise the current service selection where it is easy to reach, without overcrowding the working surface. A case’s compartments do not replace hygiene procedures or a suitable sanitised tool surface.
Plan task lighting for the actual service and room. A lighted vanity still needs verified electrical requirements and documented light performance. Keep power leads out of circulation routes and confirm the venue’s power compatibility.
Choose stable seating for the client and leave space around the legs and footrest. Preview imagery does not validate a chair’s load rating or adjustment mechanism. Use final approved instructions before operating equipment.
Reset by sequence: clear the clean surface, segregate used items, secure drawers and latches, and inspect the route before moving. A deliberate pack-down makes the next appointment easier to plan.
